Just wondering, seeing as endo is an immune system problem, could that be the reason I very frequently have mouth ulcers?
Does anyone else have that too?
I clean my teeth very well, use mouth wash and everything but I will almost always have an ulcer.
(Im hoping to blame all my symptoms on endo, makes things simpler)
thanks ppl |

hi reajae,
its interesting you ask this as i get them all the time at one point i had 17 in one go, my doc told me there it wasnt realated but i still think it is, after many months of tying i could think of a gym instructor told me to have an actimel or pro biotic yogert drink everyday and you know what it worked, if i stop having them eveyday the ulcers come back, worth a try.

I suffer badly from them too, I was told by my gynae that they are a sign of stress which could be due to the daily pressure we are under with our endo and daily lives, I was told to buy Corsodyl mouthwash (excuse the spelling as not sure how its spelt) and to take pro biotic drinks to help ease the ulcers |

| Hi, thanks for the replies. The problem is, I have a dairy intolerance to cant eat yoghurts, but I have been trying the corsodyl mouthwash and it seems to help a bit so that is good, it just also seems to numb my tongue so I cant taste anything but I guess thats better than the ulcers hey. |

| A few years ago my gynae sent me for a blood test, which showed my immune system was a bit weak. I was having lots of mouth ulcers. I have been getting them loads recently. I always to when I am ill/stressed/going through hormonal changes. Bonjella and Rinstead tablets are also helpful! xx |

Interesting topic
I get a lot of mouth ulcers as well.
I have query (ie they cant tell if it is colitis or endo as they both look the same) Inflamatory Bowel Disease and mouth ulcers are common with that so I always put it down to that but maybe it isn't only from that!! _________________ Coffee, chocolate, men . . . Some things are just better rich.
I'm out of estrogen-and I have a gun.
Guys have feelings too. But like...who cares
I used to be schizophrenic, but we're OK now. |

| With IBD/Crohn's Disease (my friend has it) I think it's more an issue of painful swelling which can occur from the mouth to the throat right down to the bowels. For instance, my friend gets VERY swollen lips, which he needs steroids and antibiotics for. There don't seem to be mouth ulcers, just massive painful swollen areas, which can split open easily. It's awful. Ulcerative colitis (I've another friend with this!) can also cause skin manifestations like swelling and cuts, and often requires steroids, anti-spasmodics and antibiotics at times. xx |
