Hi all,

Can anyone advise...

I had a lap last week and extensive diathermy, as well as the Mirena put in (never been pregnant).

I was in horrific pain for 4 days with nausea and dizzy spells (though only really bled for the first day), then had an infection so even worse! Sad

Started to improve but then started to pass clots and found I was again getting unbearably dizzy yesterday. Then today I had horrific pain again (only just over week later), and have started to bleed again! Along with the dizziness...

Is it likely to be the Mirena causing the dizizness/clots etc? (I was warned I could spot bleed but this is deifnitely not spotting!) Or could this be the the effects of the lap? (I know that they had extensive amounts to try and remove after only a year - I had mod sev endo!)

Also on a side note - is there any likelihood that orgasm will cause the coil to expel ever/this early on? (Orgasm generally helped reduce period pain!!!) And anything is worth a try when I feel this ****!!!

Hi there

I think you should go to a Dr asap (if you havent managed to by now) and get them to check the coil, sometimes it can slip slightly so it is not lying within the uterus but in the cervix which can cause a lot of pain and dizzyness. (my sister had that and she kept fainting)
If it is that then all they need to do is take out the coil and you should be feeling much better within minutes. So I hope that is what the problem is.

Hope you are feeling a bit better soon
xx
