Well... where to start!!
As some of you might have seen. ive been doing some fundraising for endo uk on the isle of wight.
You also might remember that i had the worst experience with patient care while hree, hence why i now travel all the way to cornwall to see my specialist. Its worth it, and i dont think id ever let the hospital here touch me again!!
Anyway... whilst doing my fundraising, a little island magazine wanted to run an article for me, which was fab. However, the local radio station saw this, hunted down my name and number and contacted me through endo uk, asking if id do an interview!!!
I went in yesterday, recorded a bit about the condition and about what im trying to do and why, and today its been on air with the news bulletin every hour!!! (which is not so good for me as the clips that are airing make me sound like a man, with a really horrible voice!! oh well... all for the greater good!)
theyve also run an article on their website, claiming that the NHS have got in touch regarding my claims, and have said they would like to work in conjunction with me to raise awareness here on the island!! WOW!!!
Considering theres nothing here for sufferers, and form the horrible doctors ive happened to encounter, this is a turn around!!
will keep you posted on developments.... _________________ Bryony xx

Fingers crossed you make a difference. I noticed in this months endolink that they're doing a roll out of a new leaflet to hospitals to give out when women get a diagnosis.
I think this is a great idea, though I've not seen the leaflet to comment on how good it actually is (am going to email for a copy think thats what it says). Little things like a leaflet will make a small difference to at least one women thats one more than before. I hope you manage to make a difference too xx |
