As in whilst their in employment?

I'm considering contacting them as I'm really struggling with my job. The woman that had the reins at hiring and firing at my employers leaves next week and whilst not doing HR she was the nearest thing to it, but past a verbal discussion I managed to snatch with her today to ask what the state of play is, I found there is neither OH or HR.

This leaves me in a pickle as I do a very hands on job (microbiologist) and am struggling big time to cope with my mobility (not endo related but that isn't helping things atm). Thus I'd really like someone external that actually cares rather than ignores my issues which my team manager is as she has "elevated calcium levels" and is trying to get a parathyroidectomy thus theres nothing wrong with me as her head might fall off (ok maybes not but thats how it feels lol).

Since my lap in Jan I've had no support at all from her, I've gone from being mobile in December to a sloth as I can't do much at home, however as I need my job I've had to push 90% of my daily energy into working (all my spoons bar one which gets me home) and its totally killing me. I'm 33 with 2 kids and I'm in bed and out for the count most nights at 630pm, except tonight cos OH is out and I'm waiting on meds kicking back in so I can nod off as I had to struggle to do mine and short stops pack ups.

I'm having to change my car to an automatic and am making adjustments that I can at home and outside of work, but as I spend upto 40 hours at work and as noones prepared to offer any assistance I'm at a loss.

I even had a wobbly moment where my medication caused me to have vertigo and I collapsed at work. My line manager was only concerned about the testing I was doing at the time Crying or Very sad Rolling Eyes

Theres been no risk assessment, no back to work, she's totally ignored fit for work notes from my gp saying NO manual handling (pushing pulling or carrying) and I'm just so down with it all I keep crying (not helped by endo making me very hormonal and that way anyways).

If anyones been in a similar situation, knows who I could look at talking to, dealt with Access to work who I know from the WFTC woman on phone when I renewed that I can talk to I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Di xx

Di,

Have you spoken to ACAS? That should be a first port of call.

www.acas.org.uk

Have a look at them and see how you get on.
