The daily pain is so awful it drags your whole wellbeing down with it. Depression quickly follows, feelings of worthlessness, low self esteem, lack of confidence and much more. Dont cope at work well and every few weeks could just chuck the job and walk. Wont do me any good as then would have no money. Started prostap3 inj couple of days ago and hope things settle eventually. Im at the stage i would try anything, even poison if i thought it would help. Have been taking Meloxicam since dec 09 and it helps but only first two weeks of the month then pain returns with a vengence for next 2 wks. hoping & praying this injection works for the pain, dont care about side effects, nothing could be worse than the pain. Sad

Hi Carol,

Just thought i'd ask how you are feeling now and if the injection is helping yet.

Hope you are well.

Nicky

thanks nicky, had a gr8 9 days, very positive & motivated, today has been a really bad day, feel like iv gone down with a bang. Today is day 10. I have read that this inj gives you a boost of hormone to start with & im a bit scared in case today is because the hormone is reducing. i sincerely hope not as i have been near to tears all day. However i did sometimes feel like this before prostap from aroung the middle of the month so maybe its just usual for me and the prostap hasnt really kicked in yet, im not sure.

Had a bad day at work so maybe it was this that triggered the emnotional outburst. I am trying to keep an updated blogg so that i dont forget how things progress

Thank you so much for your interest, it means a lot as im feeling a bit low in self esteem and a bit worthless today.

Hi Carol,

I am sorry to hear what you are going through. I feel the exact same thing as you do honey, I also started on Prostap im into my second month now, and for me the side effects are not good, hot flushes, feeling like I could cry at the drop of a hat, irritable, moody, feel worthless.

I have been thinking that I am going crazy, do you find that you are also forgetful??

Hugs and love

Claire xx

Hi Claire, Im am now into my 11th week (i think) of the 1st injection & due another soon. My last post was only 10 days into it and it took around 6-7 weeks for me to see results ie pain. I ws pain free for about 4 wks and it seems to have returned this week. I am a bit confused as maybe im just needing the other shot. I try to keep positive but its not always easy. I updated my story few wks ago saying it was all brilliant but as backach is returning I dont really know what#s going on. Side effects havent been too bad for me, prob the sweats are the worst especially at night time. I am quite forgetful mind u my daughter keeps commenting on that. I am hoping that the follow on shot due end of this month will help as I generally take well to hormone treatments but they seem to only work short term. I have tried just about everything in the last 27 years. My Gynae refuses to give me the inj for any longer than 6 mths & I am dreading the time when the shots run out. On the whole the injection has given me 3mths of better living than before, I also take Meloxicam which also works for me. Hope you feel better soon & please keep in touch. Smile
