Hi my name is Linda.I have been suffering from endo for about 8 years. I had my first laparoscopy 4 years ago. I was then told that I had endo very badly and there was nothing that could be done except a hystorectomy. I have tried almost every other alternative there is.

Thet have all failed miserably. I had my second laparoscopy after several x-rays MRI scan as my doctor thought the back and leg pain was due to a slipped disc. Oh no after 8 mounths of physio[which was a total waste of money] he sent me to a back specialist.

Well after all this he sent me back to the Gynaecologiest. He did the laparoscopy and said that my right overy is very enlarged and attached to part of my kindney the endo is on my bowel and lots of other places, the picture is very grim. I wish I had understood how bad this endo can get. I have pain all the time I can not live with out strong pain killers and even with these some times it is hard to cope.

I said that if I get to 40 and I am still suffering, I will have a Hystorectomy. I think the time has come but I am really scared and feel I have failed. The quality of life at the moment is zero for me and my family. I would be greatful for any advice or suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you. I am due to go into hospital on the 1st May 2000.

Linda.
